Seeing as I’m a bit behind (our of town, apologies), I’ll recap all the the happenings from This Week in Geek!
- As soon as I saw The Last of Us: Remastered released with a photo mode, I thought there was some serious potential for some fantastic machinima. I was not wrong.
- Tripwire Interactive dropped a new trailer detailing the various Zeds you’ll encounter in Killing Floor 2. Color me excited!
- When The Witcher 3 demoed at Comic Con, all the dialogue dropped. Fortunately, Doug Cockle, who voices the main character, Geralt of Rivia, was on hand. Here’s a few snippets with his improv. More to come!

Moving on…
- Disney announced the original Star Wars trilogy will be released on blu-ray without any of the other “additions” Lucas chose to add! Such nerd wood!
- Wing Commander 3 is free on Origin as part of their monthly “on the house” special.
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare dropped a trailer discussing multiplayer last week at Gamescom. It’s the first COD since MW2 to catch my interest. I’ll continue to follow this fella!
Lastly, as I’m sure you’re aware, Robin Williams committed suicide last week. Like everyone, I was absolutely floored and taken by surprise. Truly a tragedy. It brought to mind that depression and mental illness is certainly an issue in this country that needs more attention. Look at the various shootings hitting the news over the past few years. I can’t think of one specific instance where one of the suspects did not suffer from some kind of mental illness. Clearly, this is an issue that we have to recognize and work towards treating as a society. But I digress.
You shall be missed, Mister Williams. Actor, Father, and Gamer. May you rest in peace.
